4. Keep control of access to your computer, if you let somebody else use your computer and they misuse your internet connection you will still be responsible. It is your account and your responsibility.

Don’ts

1. Do not download any material which is protected by copyright, this includes movies, games, software, ebooks and music among other things. This is a breach of copyright law and could result in legal action being taken against you. If you are unsure as to whether the material you intend to download is protected by copyright you should contact the owner of the material BEFORE downloading it. The majority of movies, games, software, ebooks and music available to download on the internet are protected by copyright laws in some form. To ensure you are only downloading legitimate material you should only download from reputable legal distributors.

2. Do not use your email for malicious purposes. Any emails which could be viewed as abusive, threatening, defamatory or offensive are against the Acceptable Use Policy and will be treated as an abuse case if reported.

3. Do not send unsolicited email, again this is in breach of Acceptable Use Policy and will be treated as an abuse case if reported.

4. Do not use your internet account to facilitate your gaining unauthorised access into other computers. Unauthorised access (or hacking) is illegal and legal action can be taken against you for this.

5. Do not use your internet connection to partake in any activity which breaches UK and EU legislation. This includes viewing illegal pornography. Legal action may be taken in these cases.

Please note that breach of our Terms & Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy may result in the suspension of your account. If you require any further clarification then please email us and we will be happy to assist you.
