Using the student call voicemail service
To divert calls to voicemail from your telephone after 7 rings;
- Dial *21 8002 #
- To cancel this service, dial # 21
Please note, callers will only be able to leave a message for you if they have a touch tone telephone.
Your caller will dial your telephone number as normal. They will then in the following stages;
- hear a message welcoming them to the voicemail service and asking them to press the * button twice
- be asked to enter the last 6 digits of the telephone number that they have just dialled
- be asked to leave their message and press the # button when finished
- be able to listen to the message again, re–record the message, delete it or exit altogether
To listen to your voicemail messages;
- Dial 8000 and enter your PIN
- If you have any messages, you will hear an announcement giving the number of messages waiting
- Press 2 to listen to your messages
- Follow the prompts to listen to, save or delete messages or to return to the main menu.
You will be charged a small fixed fee every time you listen to a message, regardless of whether it is a new message or a saved message.
Messages cannot be retrieved from a different line. Messages which have not been deleted will be automatically deleted after 6 months.
