VAT update

The government has announced that the VAT rate will be reduced to 15 per cent from 1 December 2008 until the end of 2009.

We will be passing on the benefit of the government’s change to the rate of VAT to all our customers. From 1 December we will reduce the overall price of any of our services to take into account the reduction in VAT.

The new rate will be applied to all Kingston Communications’ telephone and internet related services from 1 December onwards. As customers pay for calls in arrears, any calls made before 1 December will have the 17.5 per cent VAT rate applied. Calls made after that date will be charged with the 15 per cent VAT rate.

Any customers that have made advance payments for their service will receive a credit for the difference in VAT charged for any services being delivered from 1 December onwards. Further details on this will be available shortly.

Any charges that are zero rated for VAT will remain the same.
