The CK-7W provides both cradle and Bluetooth based hands-free. So if the user leaves their phone in their briefcase or in the boot of the car (provided the phone is somewhere in the car and the Bluetooth has been paired) the hands-free connection still works.
As with most car kits, which include cradles, the CK-7W powers and charges the handset while it is in the cradle, keeping it topped-up and always ready for use. The modular design of this car kit means that should you change your handset in the future (provided you stay with Nokia), this kit should only need to have its cradle swapped for one that fits your new phone.
