Intelligent Numbers from KC enables your telephone numbers to follow you in the event that you can’t reach the office. Whether it’s due to an emergency situation such as fire, flood, snow or staff shortages, or simply an out-of-hours operation, Intelligent Numbers re-routing can be pre-determined, or set up within minutes to transfer your calls to another destination, without involving a third party.

Who can use Intelligent Numbers?

Businesses based in the East Yorkshire area with the following STD codes can use Intelligent Numbers: 01262 Bridlington, 01377 Driffield, 01405 Goole, 01430 Howden, 01482 Hull, 01759 Stamford Bridge and 01964. Businesses based outside of these areas need to use a slightly different service – Local Presence Numbers – that offers all the same great features of Intelligent Numbers but requires a new telephone number to be created.

The benefits of using Intelligent Numbers

  • Can be used as part of your disaster recovery plans and as an essential tool in the everyday running of your business
  • Set up call routing plans quickly and easily.
For instance, you could set up a day-to-day routing plan that transfers your 9am-5pm calls to your office, and your out-of-hours calls to a mobile or voicemail system, and an emergency plan that in the event of staff shortages or a crisis such as flooding or fire, your calls can be instantly transferred to a mobile number or a different location
  • Keep your existing telephone number
  • Manage your plans from anywhere in the world via an online system
Intelligent Numbers Features
Intelligent numbers offers a number of pre-programmable routing options:
Geographical routingRoute calls from around the UK to a local office. Routes the call based upon the STD code of the caller. For example callers with 01482 STD area codes would be routed to one location, and callers with 0207 codes routed to another. Default destinations can be programmed for non-geographic sources such as mobile networks and international numbers
Calendar routingRoute calls on public holidays to a different destination. Programme your service to route calls on certain days, such as bank holidays, to specific destinations. This could also be used when members of staff are on holiday and their calls need re-routing to another department
Day of week routingRoute calls on a weekend to a different destination. Pre-programmed routing based upon the day of week. This is particularly useful for re-directing calls received on a weekend
Time of day routingRoute calls out-of-hours to a different destination. Time specific routing that allows calls during working hours to be directed to a main number and out-of-hours calls are sent to a secondary site or a voicemail system
Distribution controlDistribute calls evenly among sites. This feature is useful where there are a number of different sites receiving calls from a single IN number. The calls are distributed on a percentage basis and can be evenly distributed among sites
Divert controlRe-route engaged or unanswered calls. Offers the ability to route calls on an overflow basis if the primary destination is engaged or unanswered
